Carols in the air, cute shopping energy, and just enough magic to make it all feel worth it.
Princeton does holiday charm like it’s an Olympic sport. Here’s how we enjoy it as a family—while still leaving room for a little couple-time spark.
1) Annual Menorah Lighting (A beautiful, meaningful moment)
Palmer Square, Princeton — Tuesday, Dec 16, 2025, 4–5pm.
Why we love it: It’s cozy, communal, and a great reminder that the season isn’t just “stuff,” it’s togetherness.
2) Holiday Strolling Entertainment (Caroling + Santa sightings)
Palmer Square — Sat, Dec 20 & Sun, Dec 21, 1–3pm.
Why we love it: The kids get the fun surprise factor, and grownups get that “aww” feeling that usually only shows up after the second cup of something warm.
3) Holly Jolly Holiday Market @ MarketFair (Gifts + treats + browsing)
3535 US-1, Princeton, NJ — Sat, Dec 20 & Sun, Dec 21, 11am–6pm.
Why we love it: It’s the easiest way to knock out gifts and make it feel like a festive outing, not a chore.
4) Christmas Eve Sing-A-Long (Low-key, sweet, and very Princeton)
Palmer Square — Wednesday, Dec 24, 2025, 5–6pm.
Why we love it: It’s one of those “simple” events that ends up being a core memory—especially if your kids sing confidently and incorrectly (iconic).
Closing cozy note:
Princeton holiday magic isn’t about doing everything—it’s about doing one or two things slowly, warmly, and together. Bundle up, bring patience, and let the season be sweet instead of stressful.
